About Me

Hi I’m Meagan!

I have always loved to write. There was a time when I thought by now I’d be living in New York City, with a closet full of Manolos and writing for a big time fashion magazine (basically be Carrie Bradshaw). Well turns out, the peacefulness of a small town is more my style, my very few pairs of high heels are collecting dust in my closet and fashion is not my thing

God had a different plan for me and in 2012 He made me a nurse. I love my job. It is such a blessing to be entrusted with the care of others and it truly fills me up.

A few facts about me.

I am married to the most hard-working, driven man I've ever met.
Despite that, we're in agreement that the best night is one spent eating pizza and binge watching Netflix.
I am a classic introvert. I love to be around people, but I thrive in my alone time.
I love organization, but I'm too lazy/forgetful to maintain it. I'm the girl who makes a grocery list (rarely) and leaves it in the car.
I love sugar in all forms.
I love adventures.
I love words. Puns, metaphors, analogies, I love them all!
I almost always send grammatically correct text messages.
I love nature and am sucker for a good sunset and a sky full of stars.
I'm an old soul.

But most importantly, I love Jesus. I love studying His word. One of my favorite places to be is on my couch, coffee in hand, reading my Bible. I live for those "ah ha!" moments when something just clicks or I understand a verse or chapter in a way I've never seen it before.

My desire for this blog is to share those moments with you. I want everyone to know that God loves you so much that He wrote a 1000+ page love letter to you and there is so much joy to be found in studying it.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you will stay awhile and you will find hope and inspiration in these pages.

  1. Love your "About Me," article !! Oh yes, nursing is a special calling. (hugs and thank you) I have been an elementary school teacher since 1988. I still love children, and teaching them to read, but I have learned that a fabulous thing about a longer life is the different "seasons." This is my new blogging season. One child married and launched, and one more to go. My nest is getting empty. I am visiting this blog again!
